The Birth Of PRVLDG

When people find out I’m a designer for premium apparel or owner of PRVLDG they ask me about how I got started. It’s always quite funny when I think about it. I come from a family that believed in being well dressed was a sign of dignity and class. I was raised in New Jersey, loved basketball and Biggie Smalls the rap artist.  I grew up during the Dapper Dan error when he was making custom garments for hip hop artist.

During that time my mother would take me to the tailors to get my suits fitted properly. My great grand mother and grand mother were seamstress, they sewed custom garments. My dad was known for his style of dress with suits. Growing up I always wanted a custom suit. When I later moved to Atlanta Georgia I met a friend that would fly back and forth to Paris, France and China. He told me get a visa for China and I did.

For the first time in my life I was ready to go get some custom suits, slacks, shirts and ties. I wanted a whole wardrobe. I got to Beijing, China and went to a famous custom suit shop to get my custom garments. While getting fitted and talking to the locals I realized I could start a business with custom garments using Asian Manufacturers.

When I came home from my trip I was ready to start a custom suit business, then COVID 19 hit. That altered my business plan for custom suits because the economy was shot. So instead I started a small apparel business because everyone wears t-shirts, sweats and apparel.

PRVLDG was born. PRVLDG is actually an abbreviation for PEOPLE RESPECT VALUE LEGENDS DETERMINE GREATNESS.

Our first collection from PRVLDG was Le Paris Signature ID, inspired by my first visit to PARIS, FRANCE in 2019 during Fashion Week.

The journey has begun.
